OVCTA Clinics and Competitions are run under USEF rules for Dressage, Combined Training or Hunter Divisions. Any exceptions will be noted in the prize lists. USEF rules can be found at the
following link on the web: www.usef.org.
AGE OF HORSES: In Dressage, the minimum age is three years. In Combined Training, the minimum age for Elementary through Novice divisions is four years. For Training and above
divisions, five years. Three-year-old horses may enter appropriate divisions of jumping clinics. A horse's birthday is January 1st.
ATTIRE, TACK & EQUIPMENT: is as required for the appropriate division. Any exceptions (such as jackets optional) will be noted in the prize list. ASTM/SEI approved helmets are REQUIRED to be worn by all riders, at all ages and levels, at all times while mounted. NO EXCEPTIONS.
JUNIORS: Parents or legal guardian MUST sign entry form. OVCTA cannot take responsibility for unaccompanied Juniors. If a Junior Rider will not be accompanied to the clinic/competition by a
parent, the adult accompanying the Junior should have a medical release form signed by the parent.
COGGINS TESTS: All OVCTA clinics and competitions require a 12 month negative Coggins test for all horses attending.
ORGANIZER'S RIGHTS: Show or clinic organizers or management reserve the right to combine, split, cancel or re-arrange the schedule of classes or divisions as necessary. Show or clinic
organizers or show management also reserve the right to refuse the entry of any person for any reason.
RELEASE: By participating in the events described within, the participant understands that this is a high risk sport and are participating at their own risk. They agree to release and hold
harmless the Organizer, Organizing Committee, judges, officials and volunteers, the Oley Valley CTA, their officers, agents and employees, the host and property owners from any and all
accidents, damages, injury, loss or illness to horses, owners, riders, employees, attendants, spectators or any other person or property loss suffered during or in connection with these events.
IMPORTANT: You assume the risk of equine activities pursuant to Pennsylvania Law.
THE DECISION OF THE JUDGE, ORGANIZER OR SHOW COMMITTEE IS FINAL.
